KUALA LUMPUR – BN secretary-general Tan Sri Annuar Musa confirmed that the seat allocation among Barisan Nasional (BN), Perikatan Nasional (PN), and other allies for the coming Sabah election is almost done and the announcement will be made on Tuesday.
He said that the parties have reached an agreement on the seat allocation and what logo to use for the election.
Annuar added that BN and PN, both in the opposition side, have agreed to work together to fight the Parti Warisan Sabah and give people an alternative for the betterment of Sabah state.
The agreement would ensure that its candidates would not challenge each other and party members would support the candidates the party nominated.
The Perikatan Nasional in Sabah comprises of Bersatu, PAS, Sabah STAR and Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) while UMNO has Umno, MCA, MIC and Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah (PBRS) while Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) is also their ally.
Each political party will be allowed to use their own logo in the election except BN component parties that will use their BN logo.
Perikatan Nasional will have its own logo and it will also be used by Bersatu and other allies of PN. BN agrees with it as they share a common manifesto and will be supporting each other. According to Annuar, Sabah is a unique state when it comes to election as parties must understand and study the people’s sympathy and pulse with poverty as one of the main issues.
