The government should listen to the calls which are made by the army veterans for replacing the Liew Chin Tong, Deputy Defence Minister Senator with a candidate amongst the former senior officers of the armed forces.
Port Dickson by-election’s PAS candidate, Lieutenant Colonel (Rtd) Mohd Nazari Mokhtar has said that the demand had been made by many associations of the veterans which is deemed Liew as unqualified for this position.
He said that the people should not take in the wrong way the veterans didn’t protest just because he is Chinese but on the basis of the qualification as the government has several candidates that includes former military senior officers in PH or Pakatan Harapan.
The veterans and the armed forces personal had been disappointed with the move of the government and the demand for the replacement that is to be made within the polling day on 13th October is getting louder by the day.
Mohd Nazari Mokhtar has stated that PAS campaign by meeting the voters on the ground is going pretty smoothly and it will show promising prospective on the basis of the feedback of the people. It can be seen that the voters realized their mistake of selecting PH in 14th General Election and have started feeling comfortable with PAS. Being a candidate, he feels highly motivated since he is backed by strong machinery which is willing to schedule and also accompany him as he pays a visit to the voters every day.
