After the elections of 9 states and 6 divisions in Selangor is still to vote, Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, the PKR deputy president still remains ahead of the challengers Mohd Rafizi Ramili in the battle for deputy president in the PKR elections of 2018 as per the results of the vote which have been posted on the website.
Mohd Rafixi who was ahead in 6 six states, Pahang, Kelatan, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Perlis, and Terengganu along with the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur is 1,186 votes less than Mohamed Azmin as per the result of last after the voting has taken place in Perlis and 7 other divisions of Selangor. As per the pemilihankeadilan2018 website, the minister of economic affairs, Mohamed Azmin has secured 38,228 votes when Mohd Rafizi 37,042.
The votes comprise the final outcome in 5 states which are Johor, Penang, Pahang, Kelatan, Terengganu, and the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur. The dubious votes in sixteen divisions in Melaka, Selangor, Perlis, Negeri Sembilan are being processed and the results are still to be finalized.
In the Negeri Sembilan, the votes in Jelebu division are yet to be counted due to the technical problem. Dr. Adzman Hedra, the deputy chairman of Central Elections Committee when contacted have said that the initial probe showed that the poor access of internet during the time of the polls had resulted in the lost ballet papers.
He said that they knew about the missing ballot papers when the QR code screening by members didn’t match with the number of votes which had come in. the technical division of the committee is still trying to trace the votes. In case it cannot be found, they are going to take a follow up action.
Mohd Rafizi has said that he is confident enough that the votes in Perak, Kedah, Sarawak, and Sabah is going to be in his favor.
