Any kind of dissatisfaction or complaint with the election process of PKR should be brought to the notice of the election committee of the party so that it can investigate the matter thoroughly. Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, the incumbent PKR deputy president has said that any candidate having complains against them can and should do so. Thereafter, it should leave the matter to the community. He has declared that the candidate shouldn’t interfere with the matters of the election committee.
He says that if there are any complaints then the investigation committee is going to investigate it. As matter of fact, there are more than one complaints that have been received by the committee. So they should be allowed to investigate and make their own decisions.
He says that he hasn’t pressurized any party to do anything because it is an in-house election within PKR and it has to be done in the right manner. No tension should be created because it might break up the harmony which is enjoyed by the party. When he made this statement, Wanita chief Zuraida Kamaruddin, Tian Chua, the PKR Vice-President, Shamsul Iskandar Md Akin, the one who is vying for the post of the vice-president had also been present.
Azmin had been commenting on the impropriety allegations in the PKR branch election of Labis in Johor. His challenges for number two post, Rafizi Ramli, called over the party election committee in order to declare that the results of Labis is null and void. He claims that some of the monitors of the election committee had interfered with the election by casting votes for the other members. In the election, Rafizi was reported to have secured 3,976 votes to Azmin’s 4,503. It has also been reported that Azmin has secured more vote in Penang.
