The culture of apple polishing, hand-kissing, and worshipping the leaders like the ones which are practiced in Umno is also spreading within PKR and this has to be stopped as stated by Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, the PKR deputy President. According to him, the party members should rather adopt some challenging idealisms and shouldn’t obsess with the leaders.
He said that he has started to see this hand-kissing approach within PKR like things which has happened in Umno. He believes that this is an unhealthy culture and shouldn’t exist. Instead, the members have to be loyal to the struggles of the party so that they are not shaken and deviate from the principles. He stated all these in his speech for the members of Terengganu PKR where Tian Chua, the PKR vice-president, Shamsul Iskandar Md Akin, the vice-presidential candidate, and Zuraida Kamaruddin, the chief of women had also been present.
The PKR members of the state are ready to go to the polls in order to decide on the leadership of the party.
