The joint force of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the PKR president-elect and Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, the Prime Minister as the experienced leaders in the Pakatan Harapan government is going to make an excellent combination for driving the country forward, according to Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali.
As the Economic Affairs Minister, the return of Anwar to the Parliament is going to make the debates much livelier and the newly-minted Port Dickson MP can contribute to the valuable views which can strengthen the Pakatan Harapan government in carrying out the duties to rakyat.
He says that for him and his friends in the Parliament, they are grateful and also happy to see that Anwar has returned to the parliament and has taken the oath as the lawmaker. He also believes that the teaming up along with the combination of Anwar and Dr. Mahathi is going to help in restoring Malaysia to a country which is strong and fair to Malaysia for bringing out progress and development.
Albeit, Pakatan is happy with the performance in the recent concluded by-election Port Dickson election, the government requires stronger support from the leader who has experienced and also has a good track record of working, according to Azmin referring to Anwar and Dr. Mahathir.
In the meantime, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, the home minister, when they met at the Parliamentary lobby, they regarded the return of Anwar to the august House like a historic moment stating that the 71-year old is going to play a significant role in carrying out the reforms of the Parliament.
Parliament reform is among their pledges in the manifesto of Pakatan. They are going to implement this and they hope that the Parliament is going to be strengthened. Moreover, people are going to be more confident regarding what is going to be passed on to the parliament in near future.
