MIRI – At least 24 villages in northern Sarawak districts have been aided with emergency food as widespread floods continues to damage the state.

Sarawak Disaster Relief Management Committee said that boats and heavy-duty trucks are being used to replenish the food supplies of the villages and schools affected by the flooding.

The Welfare Department, the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department and the Civil Defence Unit are working hand in hand to provide relief operations on the area.
