KUALA LUMPUR – The flood situation in Johor and Pahang has improved as more evacuees in both states being allowed to return home. The authorities have reported to have closed several temporary evacuation centres.
The number of flood victims in Johor has dropped to 8,527 from estimated more 9,000 on Monday
Mr. Tan Chen Choon, chairman of the state’s Local Government Urban Wellbeing and Environment committee said that 15 of the 85 centres in Johor were closed by Tuesday
In Pahang, Only Rompin, Temerloh and Bera, were still flooded and around 1,049 people from 271 families were being evacuated to temporary evacuation centres.
