In spite of the internal economic turmoil, Malaysia still remains at the focal point of foreign investments. According to the economic experts, the strong fundamental policies of the government is also helping the foreign investors to show interest in the country.
Minister Datuk Darell Leiking of International Trade and Industry (MITI) stated that the country’s economy is better than any other country of the region. He thinks that the clear and easygoing government fundamentals have helped the private and public sector of the government to work hand in hand. This success of the private and public sector relationship will attract further foreign investments in the future.
At the launch of the Oracle Malaysia cloud solutions, Leiking said that the hub will brighten the face of Malaysia as an upcoming digital hub in the South-East Asia region. According to him, supporting the technology giants like Oracle will create a unique ecosystem in the country. In future, MITI will help the Malaysians to give their businesses a digital upliftment.
The cloud solution hub of Oracle will generate about 150 specialised regional positions for Malaysia. It will also provide highly trained cloud consultants for the country.
According to the experts, the continuous support of the tech giants, like Oracle shows that there is still hope for the economic condition of the country. It also expresses their confidence in Malaysia to move up on the food chain of cloud and digital technology.
Oracle Corporation Malaysia Sdn Bhd managing director Fitri Abdullah said that the company looks forward to strengthening the relationship with the country in future.
