Malaysia finds it important to maintain the winning momentum when they host Laos in the second Group A match of the Suzuki Cup from ASEAN Football Federation to be held at the national stadium of Bukit Jalil. Malaysia toiled for long periods at the opening match that was against Cambodia but they eventually managed to get three points after Norshahrul Idlan Talaha gave a header in the 29th minute of the match. The country can count on strong support from the side of the home in Bakit Jalil.

Defender, Aidil Zafuan Abdul Razak said that they feel motivated to do their own parts for rising to the occasion. He is also of the hope that they will be able to get the support from their fans so they can clinch their second victory.  He is also concerned about the fact that they need to get three points so that they can make their mission easier because they have tough opponents in the future games. Though, they are ahead of Laos’s team according to the paper, but still they do not want to underestimate them as they think that they are optimistic about the fact that Malaysian team can pull through from the group with a win over Laos.

The rank for the Laos team is 181 in the world and the team of Malaysia occupied the 169th spot. It is also thought by the team that if they fail to clinch the victory in the future games, it will be difficult for them to finish the mission among the top two positions in their group so that they can reach the semis. Malaysia can take four days of rest after the match with Laos so that they can prepare themselves for the match with their favorites, Vietnam. The match between Malaysia and Vietnam will be played in Hanoi and they will play their last group game against Myanmar in Bukit Jalil.

The former champions of 2010, Malaysia is eyeing to reach the finals.
