The Malaysian Mixed doubles pair Tan Kian Meng and Lai Pei Jing are once again back to their top level performance since last year. When compared to their performance of last year their performance was so bad that they even began to doubt themselves. However, now with a record of few encouraging results this year, the pairs proved of being back in form and securing a spot in the Tokyo Olympics next year.
It is not just their performance but the same is also being indicated by the recent list released by the Badminton World Federation in the Race to Tokyo Olympics. According to the list released by the Badminton World Federation, the pair has been ranked in the No.14 spot after three tournaments.
In the last two years the pair struggled to find a place in their game and it was even worse as they also had to deal with the passing away of a loved one in their families. However after recovering from a lucky break the player impressively managed to reach the semi-finals of the Malaysian Open in the month of April this year, they also reached the finals of the Singapore Open later.
The pair said that they had been hungry for results and wants to win and collect as many points as possible so as to make themselves eligible for the Tokyo Olympics next year. They said that it was due to the lucky break that they managed to get back to the position they had been today.
