PETALING JAYA – Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, who were convited by the High Court of seven charges in relations to the RM42mil in SRC Internation funds, has settled for RM1 mil bail.

This is after the High Court increased the former prime minister bail of RM1mil to another RM1mil as a condition for him be released in jail. He will also be required to report to the nearest police station on every 15th of the month.

Najib, 67, arrived at the court accompanied by his son, Norashman. They were both seen leaving the court at around 1.30pm.

He was found guilty and sentenced to a total of 72 years in jail with a fine of RM210 million on the seven charges on criminal breach of trust, money laundering and abuse of power involving the RM42 million in SRC International Sdn Bhd funds. The former prime minister will only serve 12 years in jail as all of the jail sentences will run concurrently.
