Nestle in Malaysia is going to invest over RM100 million for expanding its Milo factory at Chembong at Negeri Sembilan, establishing the factory to be one of the largest center to manufacture Milo in world.
In the statement, Nestle Malaysia is said to have facilitated this. It is going to be moving all the previous Milo manufacturing operation from the Petaling Jaya factory for consolidating and expanding Milo production at Chembong factory. Alois Hofbauer, the chief executive officer is Chembong is one of the primary parts of the company business that is supplying Milo domestically and also contributing to the exports to more than 20 countries. Through the Milo operation concentration and the investment of more than RM100 million into Chembong factory, it can further upgrade the production of the facilities for improving the operational efficiencies and for scaling up the capacity of the factory.
This will help in meeting the growing export and local demand. Lactalis, the global leader in the dairy business that has a presence of over 100 countries is going to acquire and take over the operations of the PJ factory and also the Nestle market that is leading the Chilled Dairy business for over RM155.3 million. Hofbauer stated that the company will remain positive on the Malaysian market and it will look forward to unlocking the opportunities of growth in near future.
Hofbauer also says that he sees a great potential that the investment is going to enable them to strengthen their focus on strategic core business which can offer good long-term growth and are also aligned with the evolving needs of the consumer. Again, this initiative is going to make way for the Chilled Dairy Business along with the PJ factory to flourish under the leadership of the Lactalis.
