It is known that Latexx Partners, which was decoded by rubber and plastic goods producer Semperit from Bursa Malaysia in June 2013 after its acquisition, will be sold for around RM300 million.

Top Glove Corp Bhd and MQ Technology Bhd (MQTech) have emerged as the frontrunners for Latexx Partners as their current shareholder. At Kamunting Industrial Estate in Perak Latexx Partners has manufacturing facilities. Semperit took it private at RM2.30 per piece, and its warrant in 2013 at RM1.77.

Following Top Glove the acquisition had made Semperit the second largest rubber glove maker in the country.

The divisions of Latexx Partners include Latexx Manufacturing Sdn Bhd, which produces rubber gloves, Medtexx Manufacturing Sdn Bhd, which produces rubber gloves and boots, Full Glove Company Sdn Bhd, which treats and stores natural rubber latex and surgical gloves, and Worldmed Manufacturing Sdn Bhd, which manufactures rubber gloves

Founded in 1824, Semperit is located in Wien, with its global R&D center in Wimpassing, Lower Austria. Recently, the Latexx Partners offer has also been pitched to MQTech, and there may be a successful result within days.

MQTech is listed on ACE Market by Bursa Malaysia. It produces products for rapid tooling, prototyping, jigs, development of dyes, and other manufacturing solutions. The company also manufactures high-precision magnetic coils, coil assemblies, precision metal plates and jigs and attachments used in the manufacture of hard disk drives, automotive and medical industries.
