The government of Sarawak is on the verge of introducing a financial scheme for all the new born babies of the state from the month of January next year. This announcement was made by the Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah, Minister of Welfare, Community Well Being, Women, Family and Childhood Development of Malaysia. It was also agreed by the government of Sarawak by principle for providing assistance to all those born from the date of January 1st, 2019. The financial assistance will be provided by all the babies irrespective of religion, race, rich or poor, and origin.
The financial aid will be given to the new born babies for helping their families’ ease the cost of further studies after the child grows. It is also to help them to prepare the children for the work life. The exact amount of the aid has not yet decided but the scheme will be nominated at the next session of State Legislative Assembly. The Minister of Welfare, Community Well Being, Women, Family and Childhood Development of Malaysia also said that the government will not give any kind of condition to the families of the new born babies from January next year on the amount of financial assistance which will be provided to them. But all new born babies must be from Sarawak and that is only one condition for getting the financial aid from the government.
