Segambut MP Hannah Yeoh and her attorneys today lauded the discipline of the police here at federal police headquarters in Bukit Aman during their two-hour interrogation today.
During the interrogation Yeoh was supported by her attorneys Gobind Singh Deo and Syahredzan Johan, and reporters were told that her cell phone had been seized as part of the investigation against her.
They want to thank the police as they found the recording of the statement was done professionally and the police actually stated that they would call them again if they needed further assistance.
Nevertheless, as they said before, they are prepared to expand our collaboration with the police as we have not committed any crime for us, but it is also for the police to investigate. In reality they took Hannah Yeoh’s mobile to assist in their inquiry. They have no issue with that and they have yielded it already.
Yeoh said she was basing the inquiry on a misleading message. And that once again, she told the police that the statement they are investigating is a fake statement that she have never made.
Earlier, Yeoh told that she shared the remark on her Facebook page to debunk the false quote attributed to her.
The quote in question was: Because the Deputy Minister of Women and Family Development is from PAS, marriage with a minor (to allow sex with children) will then spread. That is the epidemic of this country’s uncivilised Muslims.
The investigation is for seditious tendencies under Section 4(1) of the Sedition Act 1948; Section 505 © of the Penal Code for misleading statements; and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 for misuse of network facilities or network service.
