The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation is on the verge of approving the set-up of a special school and the primary aim of it would be to develop the genius talents from Malaysia who will be specializing in digital development and technology. The CEO of the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation, Yasmin Mahmood, said that the main target of the school is to provide training which is almost similar to the training process that is given to the budding athletes of the national level.
She is also of the hope that school may be open by next year to cater with the talents of the country. Yasmin Mahmood also added that the model of the school will be exactly same as that of a sports school where they gather future national athletes. The training will also be as that of a sports training school. Only major difference which the school will have is that it will focus majorly and exclusively on digital streams and technology that will help the country to grow with the hands of these talents.
The training school for digital development and technology will be set up as a part of the efforts which have taken by the government to ensure that the genius talents from Malaysia are developed and are not tired down by other countries. It was also noted by the CEO of the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation that consistent brain drain of the talents in other countries can make them weak ultimately. The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) is of the hope that the efforts which have been taken up by them will be able to encourage local talents to remain in the country and contribute their knowledge for the growth of the nation.
