Incheon, Korea – MALAYSIA’S top men’s singles shuttler Lee Zii Jia claimed another upset after beating world’s No. 7 Axelsen, in Incheon yesterday. Earning a spot on the quarterfinal on the Korea Open.

The 21-year-old Zii Jia pulled off a 21-18,21-16 win in 35 minutes to secure a matchup against Momota in the Quarterfinals.

“I’m very happy that I have entered my ninth quarter-final today and also winning against my idol Axelsen. It means a lot to me. I have adopted some of the elements of his game into mine.” said Zii Jia. Zii Jia will face the world No 1 Kento Momota of Japan in the last eight today.
